Assembly guidelines:
Platinum RTA cabinet assembly requires medium level carpentry skills and certain professional tools.
Platinum cabinets are assembled like semi-custom cabinets using glue, staples and nails, nail-gun and a professional stapler.
If you are not familiar with how to assemble we do recommend to consider hiring a local professional installer.
If you have the necessary skills and do decide to install yourself - all tools are readily available at your closest big name home improvement store if you do not have them already.
There are several ways how to assemble cabinets. For our Platinum line we recommend using the following items or similar:
Materials (not provided with cabinets):
Wood glue (Titebond 2 Premium or similar) for plywood and panels
5/8" 18 gauge brad nails to nail in panels to the face frame
1 1/4" brad nails on toe kick for base cabinets
T50 Wide crown, 3/8" leg staples For applying the back to the end panels
Tools:
18 gauge brad nailer
Screw gun
Wide crown stapler
An alternative way is to use brackets and screws that you can purchase at any local hardware store.
Please note that not all bracket installation places are pre-drilled.
Drawers are not assembled and you will need to glue the boxes and attach the glides.
