How sizes are priced
Our standard doors and panels are 1/8" smaller than their nominal size in each direction (a 24" x 96" tall panel measures 24-3/4" x 95-7/8"). We price every piece at the standard size that covers it:
- A piece up to the nominal size is priced as that size. Example: a 21" x 96" panel is priced as the 24" x 96" panel.
- A piece larger than a standard size moves to the next standard size. Examples: an 18" x 40" door is priced as 18" x 42"; a 19" x 42" door as 21" x 42"; a 27" x 96" panel as 36" x 96".
- Pieces larger than our largest standard door are quoted individually.
Hinge holes
- In-stock shaker and slim shaker doors come with hinge holes that match our cabinet boxes.
- Custom 5-Piece and Custom Slim doors can be ordered with our hinge holes or with no holes.
- Custom-size flat panels and drawer fronts ship without hinge holes. Hinge holes are not guaranteed on custom pieces; we recommend your installer drills them on site so they match your boxes and hinges.
- We drill hinge holes only for our own cabinet boxes, not for other brands.
How to drill hinge holes
Our frameless boxes use standard 35 mm cup hinges. With a hinge-boring jig or a hinge router:
- Mark the hinge centers about 3" to 4" from the top and bottom of the door. Doors up to 35" tall need 2 hinges, up to 63" need 3, up to 79" need 4.
- Set the cup edge distance (from the door edge to the edge of the hole) to match your hinge, usually 3 to 5 mm.
- Bore the 35 mm cup hole to the hinge's depth, usually 11.5 to 13 mm. Test on a scrap piece first so you never go through the face.
- Press or screw in the hinge cup, clip it to the mounting plate on the box, and adjust.
Always follow the spec sheet of the hinge you install.
Options
- Edge banding: matching edge band in 50 ft ($90) and 200 ft ($360) rolls, $1.80 per foot. Smaller rolls on request, depending on color. Coastal Euro edge band on request only.
- Grain direction change: available on custom-color textured and flat panels up to 47" in width or length, +15%.
- Bookmatched grain: available for a custom fee; ask our office.

- Same as the matching cabinet line.
- In-stock doors and Coastal Euro: 3 weeks or sooner.
